location good,staff helpfull, nice rooms with aircon, good kitchen facilitys . only a 5 mins walk to nearest beach, other beaches in crown point all walkable. Only minor point is that they forgot to put towels in our rooms, they apologised for the error. Overall very good hostel.
A wonderfully energetic and helpful host. A short walk from the beach, the aiport and the road used by shared taxis into the capital Scarborough. Rooms blissful with A/C, attic dorms rather hot with only fans. Clean,secure and interesting, just like the Tobogonians and their beautiful island too.You might need earplugs, if The Star club is having a bash on, but the hostel is perfect for those on a budget who don't think helpfulness and cleanliness is something they want to compromise on.

Owner very helpful, location good, reasonable guesthouse - however my room was only serviced once in a week! Also no security box etc that I was made aware of. Good kitchen facilities though!

Nothing but praise for this place. Super convient, location, rooms, atmosphere, cleanliness, staff. Defintley reccomended to stay. Super cool owner Andrew always on hand to help with anything. Its as good as any decent european hotel. Cheers!

An unbeatable deal--super-close to two great beaches (Store Bay and Pigeon Point), and the owner really goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Also just a couple minutes' walk from several cheap-but-good eateries, convenience store, etc.--you'll be right by pretty much everything you'll need. It's also so close to the airport that I skipped the taxi and just walked to catch my flight home! Everything you'll need in a hostel in Tobago.

I just got back from Tobago and had an amazing time. Candles was a really nice place to stay and very clean. Andrew was very helpful and even took us to a few beaches! House keeper Emelyn was very sweet too! Definately a very affordable and nicely located guest house.
Had a wonderful time in candles. Andrew, the owner, made us feel at very much at home and his building was idealy located close to the beaches.
