“ 1st thing's 1st: don't be alarmed if you're not in the main building, there are two properties. I stayed in the one that wasn't the main office. The staff's very friendly & helpful. The location is right near the metro (2 blocks) but parts of the neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy. Security was a bit lax, but nothing came of it & the people I bunked with were great! Wonderful atmosphere, good people, this was my first hostel (solo too) & it made me want to stay at more! I'd totally recommend it! ”

“ The worst hostel I've ever been. We were sent to other location. other building. No individual keys for rooms, rats in the kitchen. No staff help or presence at all. Dirty bathrooms and rooms. A non registered "employee" working as cleaning staff. In fact this poor guy is an irregular immigrant from Somalia. ”

“ The last time I went to Washington, I stayed in the downtown washington hostel. It used to be cheap, but the price would go up. So I was looking for the other place and found this one. I had been worried about this hostel because of the reviews. But actually the facilities and the staff are much better than I expected. It was really good. The staff helped me with making reservation for a cap to the airport. The hostel is 10-15 min from Chinatown. From the hostel to the mall it is quite walkable. ”

“ NEVER STAY AT THIS PLACE. Due to an error on their part, I had to find another place for my friend and I to stay. Also... I was still charged nearly $200 for the room that I never slept in. I'm currently working with my credit card company to get the charges removed from my account. ”

“ it is great place,not far from white house and others memorials. everyday,i run to these place in 20 minutes. The owner is beautiful black girl, she is very kind and nice. i can cook for myself everyday. i enjoy the day in Capital comfort hostel, if i have another chance to be Washington DC,i must be there again. FYI, there is only two bathroom, one is on first floor, the other is on second floor, so don't try to take a shower in night, because it is very busy, so take shower at daytime. ”

“ While I didn't have any problems many guests that arrived after 3pm didn't have a bed even though they had a reservation. The staff asked two strangers to stay in a bed together and also a couple of people slept on the floor. Be careful and try to arrive early. ”

“ I've booked a bed 1 week before and I also call them to confirm my booking 2 days before I arrived. But when I arrive at 9:30pm, the manager - Val - said that there is no bed for me and I had to sleep at the some girl's bunk and the room was very small and messy!I had no place to put my staff! And when the girl came back she was very angry at the manager because she had to sleep with a boy! I've booked female dorm but it mixed! But after all I like this place and like helpful manager.Thank Val!) ”

“ I stayed in a room myself and it had a HDTV. Selam, the manager, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. There were two co-ed bathrooms, but I think they should be separated by men and women. ”
