- “ On my bed, there were old towel and sheets (previous one used). I used this one. I didn't know that. The staff changed them to new one at 6:00PM. It was too late! And room was not clean. In the room, a mosquito flied about. But it was cheap and near Union Station. If you have enough money, you must not choose this hostel! 夕方になってもシーツとバスタオルの交換がされておらず、それを知らずに古いタオルを使わされました。謝罪の一言もなく、スタッフの ”

- “ Location is perfect, in walking distance to the Mall. Its not far from Chinatown metro as well, but the way is a bit tricky, we got lost. Staff was friendly, they have no shoes policy which is fine. Unfortunatelly when we were staying there was some reconstruction ongoing, just one shower for two floors was really not enough...We stayed in a room on second floor and everynight we heard rats running above us(!). The advertised terrace was closed. After the reconstruction it may be nice place... ”

- “ Floors are clean, but cobwebs and dust on window blinds and ceiling/walls. Very decent otherwise as the latest bathroom just got rehabbed. ”

- “ my room floor was covered in ants and at night the rats were scurrying around the sub-roof above my head. one fridge was broken and smelled. no maps or any visitor informatio available. other than that, it was a great location. ”

- “ Only two guys with good attitudes working there. I was lucky I got to meet them. They helped me and were very cool about everything. The girls were rude, not helpful at all, very bitchy about everything... ”

- “ Great Location. Two lounge areas with comfy couches. Computers available and Wifi - weak to no Wifi when full capacity. Parking: Have to pay at a private lot for the day. After 7pm can park on the street for free for the night. ”

- “ I had quite a bit of food taken from the kitchen but apart from that it was fine. Location is excellent. ”

- “ A neat Hostel to stay at while in Washington. The staff where pleasant and invited guests to join in on food, drink and games in the weekend. Although the facilities are not the greatest, for the price it is a worthwhile place to stay. ”

- “ We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is great (plenty of pots, pans, etc, and a grocery store is about 3 blocks away), bathrooms were perfectly clean, room was comfortable. Hammocks on the roofdeck were a highlight. The location is perfect: you can walk to Union Station or the Mall in 15 minutes or so. I'll gladly stay at Capital View again the next time I'm in DC. ”

- “ Great location, especially for price. Kitchen was sometimes left a mess, but this is more because of other travelers and is not the hostel's fault and the rest of hostel was very clean. Staff were helpful and welcoming and on hand majority of the day. Air conditioning was great during the summer and the free wifi was a great convenience. Will defiantly go back next time I'm in DC. ”

- “ Discovered some nasty fungus on the showercurtain, make sure you clear that up. Very friendly!! Good to know that parking is free on Sunday and easy to find a spot. ”

- “ The only average thing is the location, in a hiding place, hard to find, also no bus just near there. But other things are good enough. ”

- “ Nice Hostel with large rooms and great common rooms including a large kitchen, great location (10-15 min by foot to the Capitol), you're not supposed to wear shoes inside, bathrooms were really dirty, especially the toilets (bring desinfectant spray or wipes), and there was a lot of mold in the showers and the shower curtains (probably not that good for someone with allergies). ”

- “ The hostel was ok, but I never knew who were staff and who weren't, they have a shoeless policy but walking around your feet or socks got dirty from the floors, so I don't think the policy works too well. The staff member who checked me in showed me around and mumbled his way through explaining things to me and most of the time was miles ahead of me so I didn't hear what he was saying. ”

- “ Great location, with nice views of the city. A short walk to the national mall from here. ”

- “ Aside from the appalling conditions of the bathrooms (filthy, broken showers, one toilet per floor, etc.), an employee (Patrice) asked to borrow my cell phone charger and then did not return it. I called more than a week ago with the address to send it to (she said that she would, and I've yet to hear back (called again today). How is this any different than stealing? So, the other guests should not worry about each other, only the employees! I WOULD NOT RETURN TO STAY THERE FOR FREE!!! ”
