Bill is very business like and treated each situation equally and professionally. The building is older but we had clean linens. The conversations were stimulating with people from all over the world. Bring your phrase book, it will be fun. And VERY easy access to bus and Metro train into the city, government buildings and tourist sites. There were maps to borrow and magazines to read. Cable TV in the living room and a community fridge and kitchen(very convenient).

The hostel is fine, I stayed at a lot and thats one of the good one. Just the location is not the best but you can still see tha city well. For that price perfectly fine.

Small hostel with great host. Felt like home away from home. Nice double beds & free computers with internet. Location OK on bus route or can walk 20blocks to downtown.

I would go there again but I wouln't feel very safe in neighborhood after dark. The fastfood shacks around the corner all have think plexi glass barriers, that says it all... The host was very nice and seemed trustworthy. I only met nice and open hearted people there.

This place was not clean at all, needs alot of help. the price might be good, but they could fix up the place. looked like it was falling apart. I've traveled meany times in all North America and never stayed in a place this dirty. Mexico have much better hostels then USA... will then the eastern side.

Great hostel! Not much in the neighborhood, but downtown is just a bus ride away. Wonderful amenities such as free internet and tea, and staff was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating.

Capitol Hill Hostel is no where near Capitol Hill, but is easy to get to by bus or train. There was only one staff member that I saw the whole time running the hostel but he was always helpful although seemed a bit unenthusiastic. I don't think there is an actual cleaner as customers are expected to clean up after themselves. This meant that the hostel was not very clean which did not help with cupboards cluttered with all sorts of things from empty boxes for example. I did enjoy my st
