Since we first stayed here in 2007, this is the only place we stay when we go to Shanghai. We gladly recommend it to our friends. The Location is the main attraction, close to the Bund, Nanjing Road, YuYuan garden, etc.
The Price is also reasonable. The breakfasts were great.

Stayed in a private 2 bed room. Was nice big and clean with tv, ac, and towels. Good location and nice bar.

The chain-lock on our door was too tight so we got stuck inside it in the morning and had to eventually rip the chain-lock out of the wall. You should work on that. Otherwise, everything was great.

Property in excellent location.
Disappointed that credit card was to be our payment method, got to hostel and had to go find cash to pay with. No latitude on credit card payment. This was rather inconvenient.
Reception staff very attentive and helpful. Good English skills.
Overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay.
Breakfast was microwaved to bits, I personally do not think "French" pastry microwaves particularly well.
Coffee excellent, could be hotter. Think that second cup at breakfast should not be the same cost as the first.
Enjoyed our stay and will book this hostel again.

brilliant location. my second visit and i cannot rate this palce enough. good food. great bar, great character and real atmosphere. actual helpful staff and well presented bedrooms and uniforms. rooms extremely clean. caters for all.

The hostel had a lovely ship theme and was literally five seconds from the bund. the facilities and set up were more like a hotel that a hostel and it was defintitely value for money.

The Roof-top Bar is by far the best feature. I didnt go for a hostel room so I have no input there. The Double room still seemd like a good deal. Everything was great.
