Excellent location. Bit pricier than some other options though. Great views from roof terrace.

This is more like a hotel than a hostel. The rooms were nice but everything - bar and internet included - was so overpriced. Staff were very unhelpful.

This hostel is great value and the rooms give the appearance of a real hotel: spacious, clean and well decorated. The captain bar is expensive and frequently nearly empty, making it less fun than it ought to be; however, the view was spectacular and well worth it.

Lovely location and friendly staff. Pretty clean, except for the carpets!

Hostel is in great location, but it needs a bit of a renovation. Carpets are old and some rooms have odd smells. But all was clean and tidy. Better to get out and eat breakfast. Internet expensive. Decent but I'm sure there are more homey places and not so institutional. In the end it was ok.

Since we first stayed here in 2007, this is the only place we stay when we go to Shanghai. We gladly recommend it to our friends. The Location is the main attraction, close to the Bund, Nanjing Road, YuYuan garden, etc. The Price is also reasonable. The breakfasts were great.

They just do some renovation. Probalbly the rooms becoming better soon. But now the private rooms are in a poor condition.

The best thing about this hostel is the fantastic location. The staff were unwilling to assist with any queries and the cleanliness leaves a bit to be desired..
