  • All in all, it was a very nice place to stay. The staff (for the most part) speak very good English and were very helpful with all my weird questions (Where in the neighborhood can I make copies?, Where is there an overnight shipper? Where is the bus stop?, Can you arrange for a cab to take me to the airport?) There are 3 quite friendly dogs roaming about the hostel (and a couple of shy cats) who added to the ambiance. I met and talked with the owner who was quite informative and friendly.

  • In the middle of San José, right next to a bunch of good and expensive restaurants (only place in Costa Rica you can get classy food). Security is very good, there is one (!) secured parking space. For it's location it's a beautiful place, unfortunately not very clean. Exactly 1 km to the theatro national (google maps).
