The rooms were very clean and the kitchen was somewhat well equipped. The main problem we had was there were no heaters and it got very cold at night. Sleeping fully clothed just to keep warm. The map on the website we booked showed it was in the townsquare, however this was misleading as it was further in town and on a busy, noisy street. We would get woken up early by trucks or people on the street talking/yelling. The garden however is a nice touch which we enjoyed during the day. Eric, from Canada ~ 10th Jan 2012

Very friendly staff and is treating you like king and queen. Not a youth hostel for students who likes to go for big nights out, but a nice place to stay for couples or bag packers. Place feels like home immediately. Located in one of the old streets of Lagos in the middle of the nice city centre and only 5 min walk to the beach. Dominique, from Netherlands ~ 15th Sep 2011

We had a great time at Casa Amarela, the location is perfect in the heart of the old town and very close to shops, bars and the beach. You get your own privacy but also the option to mingle with other travellers by the pool or on the terrace. The local owners are very helpfully and had lots of advice for where we should eat and excellent knowledge of activities available. I would recommend staying Casa Amarela. Private accommodation in a cosy apartment with kitchen, balcony, bathroom and lounge room. Both the owner and lady who maintains the place were friendly, genuine people. The apartment was located right in the centre so walking distance to everything. The only downside would be that it is close to a nightclub and main walkway where young people talk (or yell as we experienced) until the early hours of the morning. Earplugs were a good investment. But overall we loved Lagos and this apartme Limei, from Denmark ~ 8th May 2011
