I came to Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica on my first solo adventure in hopes to find relaxation, meet wonderful, friendly people, and have an amazing experience. Casa Caribe was my first hostel that I stayed in Casa Caribe which I booked for only 3 days. I ended up coming back after the weekend (since they were booked) because I felt at home and I was given the gift of comfort in a country I was new to. This is a fantastic place in a very beautiful spot with lots of wildlife, near the beach, and a very short walk from town.We had a truly fantastic time with equal parts fun and relaxation.Alex and Yanira (the owners) are really some of the best kind of people there are.We had just as much fun getting to know them as we did doing everything else that we so enjoyed in beautiful Puerto Viejo. Casa Caribe is a beautiful and private spot right outside of Puerto Viejo.The black sand beach right across the road is really nice and sparkles when the sun is out.It's only about a five minute walk to everything you need in P.V. Alex and his wife have set up a really nice spot and are very friendly people.You will not regret staying here, and if we go back I would stay here again.Don't let anyone talk you into avoiding P.V., it was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica.
