I was in the single room towards the back of the yard and ants got in my room and i have about 25 ant bites all over my legs from my stay there, i am not happy because the bites are still itchy and i'm going to have scarring.

Great place if you're into partying into the night - we weren't and so found it nosy and off-putting. If you don't mind people sloshing around in beer and rolling reefer in the hallway, then you should be quite at home. We were a mixed group of two college-age daughters and two moms.

Arriving after a 12 hour coach trip they had no record of my booking and had no room availale for me. Found me another hostel but thats not the point.

This place was nice and convenient to everything. The staff were very friendly and would go out of their way to assist you. I would certainly recommend this place to others visiting San Jose.

Bed bugs and cockroaches in my poorly maintained room of 10 beds.. staff were drunk and high and forgot to call my cab to the airport (missed my flight) - but the communal areas are chill and i had fun in the evenings.

Stayed for a week: The staff was outstanding, internet was an appreciated luxury and it's in a safe feeling area with splendid grocery convenience. Expert assistance on tour booking and local recommendations noted! Very friendly and professional management. Difficult to sleep on some nights though with partying(+) reaching early morning hours. That said - I would stay again.

the bathroom flooding in room 0 needs to be addressed, perhaps just adding a drain would help?! That would be my only complaint because it seemed to also aid in a damp or moldy smell.
