Casa de la gringa had a great feel to it. The people staying at the hostel were some of the friendliest I have met while traveling. The staff is well intentioned but was slightly disorganized. One two occasions they had trouble locating my reservation. Luckily there was room at the hostel to accommodate me but it could have turned into a bad situation. Double check everything!

everyone was very friendly and helpful, from helping us to organise a wonderful horse ride and 2 days in Macchu Picchu to cooking great eggs for breakfast. when we went to M.P Christian left his dearly beloved zippo in a common area and was sure it was gone, but on our return it was exactly where he left it! surprise and joy! we felt it spoke volumes about the standards, security and other guests at the hostel!thankyou Casa De la Gringa for making our stay in the very touristy Cusco a little more human.

En la casa de La Gringa son todos muy amables. Tienen la mejor dosposicion para ayudarte en todo lo que necesites, incluso te guardan las maletas cuando andas en algun tour fuera de la ciudad.
Notable es la sala de Internet y de television.

THis is a wonderful place to meet many ´world travelers that are looking for a different experience. The warm environment promotes a friendly atmosphere for all around the world to enjoy their time together ´while staying in Cuzco. This place is more for the experience than the homeliness, but none the least, a great place to stay for some good stories to come back home with.

The staff was very helpful, the room was very clean and it was a wonderful way to start our trip in Peru. If you are staying in the rooms with 4 beds, you might want to bring a lock for the lockers.

Found the hostel to be a bit grubby, we were in the annex for about an hour but moved to the main building as it was very smelly. Also the three cats put some effort into breaking into people's bedrooms. Staff were friendly and helpful though.
