Great stay here-cheap,clean and safe.However,do check the location before booking-the surrounding street's are full of homeless people,making it pretty dodgy both during the day and night.The Hotel itself is safe and the staff were fantastic!However,have your wits about you and watch your own safety.If you don't want to be constantly harassed on the street-or outside the Hotel-do not stay here!Most of the tourist site's are not near here and downtown L.A.can be confronting and dangerous! I was just surprised how old looking the rooms were. I think the rooms could have been a little more decorative. The bathroom was in the hall way, not my own private bath in my room. I had a small old looking sink to freshen up, not a shower and then I had a small closet. The atmosphere of my room was somewhat dreary and smelled. Probably from those who smoked. I went to the bathroom on a few occasions and saw cigarette buds in the toilet! I'm allergic to smoke or any scent of it. Site may want Anita, from USA ~ 11th Oct 2011
