Che Lagarto is a very fun Hostel to stay at. The residentes ae people in their 20's and 30's and almost all spak english and another language. The only problems I had with Che Lagarto is their accounting system is not the best, it's not in a great part of town and the cafeteria during the day on Saturday and Sunday does not open till 6pm.

Computer did not work...so no internet!which was a pain in the ass..but apart from that everything was great.

Mixed thoughts really... We had to wait for over 3 hours after the check out time of 12pm to get into our room. The double room was spotless though, and great air con! Breakfast is very sparse, 2 stale rolls, no seconds. And the breakfast girl serving was grumpy. Che Legarto has a cheek to say there is internet access, only one computer with a VERY slow connection, for a hostel of this size its not good enough really.

They had a blackout and couldn't even check me into my room. I should get a refund.

The hostel didn't have a place in the room where I could secure my backpack. Only 2 out of the 6 beds had a space underneath for backpacks. I think security could be improved here. The room was also a little cramped. Overall a good hostel though.

Fica perto da principal avenida e de metros, porem a noite a rua tem algumas pessoas estranhas pelas esquinas. No albergue ficamos no quarto privativo do último andar, quarto com varanda, cama boa, ar condicionado e TV a cabo boa, mas o elevador estava quebrado então tivemos de usar as escadas para chegar ao quarto. Em uma das noites acabou a luz somente no último andar, tivemos de tomar banho e nos arrumar no escuro, alem do super calor pelo ar estar quebrado. Ninguem do albergue sugeriu uma troca de quarto ou desconto. Café da manhã básico, mas valeu. Nós somos um casal gay, nenhum problema com isso no albergue. --------- Located near the main avenue and meters, but at night the street has some strange persons on the corners. At the hostel we stayed in the 4th (top) floor, bedroom with terrace, good bed, air conditioning and cable TV very good, but the lift was broken so we had to use the stairs to reach the room. In one of the nights, there was no light only on the top floor, we had to take a bath and change clothes to get out in the dark, beyond super heat the air being broken. No one of the hostel suggested an exchange of room or a discount. Coffee-break simple but good. We are a gay couple, no problem with this at the hostel.

I thought it was good and the beed was nice, we had a tv and there was english spoken movies, whiii! The breakfast was poor and i got alot of moskito bites. But thanks for a nice two days.
Only spent one night there because I had another hostel booked for the next several nights. Renovations and clean-up were still being done, but it looks like it will be quite good.

Good hostel, but only stayed for one night. Good secure dorms only problem was no air con in our room but had fan so was not too bad
