The Chelsea Star Hostel is a fraudulent operation and I would advise any traveller to avoid this accommodation at any price.They took additional money from the 10% deposit fee out of my credit card and refused to compensate when I arrived. They made me call my bank and upon confirmation they still refused to refund as it wasn’t authorised in their system. I resorted tocalling the police and they advised me to take legal action. The double-bed dorm room's bed's height is too low. You cannot even sit up in the lower bed. The cleanliness is poor, the sheet is dirty. I even need to cover the sheet with a clean sheet myself. The location is perfect though. Zhengjian, from USA ~ 20th Jan 2012

Everything was perfect as to location, safety and helpful tips frrom the staff. The bad thing was that our first room were not clean. Nobody seemed to have vacum cleaned it for weeks as there were toe nail clippings and other things on the floor. Good thing was that we were upgraded to the apartment next door on our last two days and that was cleaner and nicer.
