Lots of organized tour groups and hostel activities. Friendly, helpful staff. Great in-house restaurant with Sichuan and Western dishes. Close to public transportation. Across the street from teahouses with views of the canal. I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping, which I've never experienced anywhere else in China. Interesting travelers. Great staff and the place was clean. The food menu was pretty cheap and varied. Staff helped out with getting to places and offered me a shower even when I got there a day earlier than my actual booking while I waited to head to the airport, thanks! This is a very nice hostel located in the northern part of the city centre. The english speaking staff is really helpful and kind. It's clean and there is free wireless internet everywhere. If I'll ever come back to Chengdu that will be the place stay! Marco, from Germany ~ 16th Jun 2011
