I stayed in the youth hostel back in 09 march 2007. It gave me a very homely feeling and not to forget the friendliness of the staff which gave me a unforgetable experience. Because of the wonderful experience that make me wanted to visit them again during my holidays. I would strongly recommended for those want to have a homely feeling stay, blend in with the local to stay with Chaing Mai International Youth Hostel. Trust me is truely value for money. Cheers

You get quite a lot for your money in this hostel - air con and tv in the room and hot water. Bliss. The only 'downside' is that it is about a 20 min walk to the action - but at least it is in a straight line!

The room is pretty basic but very clean and tidy. The toilet is also very clean. It is a good value for money. The only setback is the location, which is quite a distance form the hustle bustle area. But we love the quiet and relax surrounding. Glad me made the choice.

Mac, one of the very friendly staff took us out for drinks. 4 big bottles of Chang Beer for 150 baht. Bargain. Thank you for having us. Robert and Will.

A bit expensive, but worth it. Try elsewhere to book trips and stuff - I felt a bit ripped off after having bought one and then went into town and saw other prices

Their hiking/trekking trip was amazing. The staff (especially May) was incredibly kind, helpful, and competent. Also extremely friendly!
