I will admit the rooms were good. Had there been ANYONE ELSE staying there it might have been fun. I realize April is the low season but this felt like a scene out of a horror movie. Middle of NOWHERE, far from the city, can't get a taxi or tuk tuk, and they can't even come pick you up because no one has heard of it. Maybe try this in the high season but avoid at all costs in April!

nobody was there when you needed to ask questions and needed help! so we left and check in to another hotel where we could get tourist info and trips around the area. so we dont recommend this place!

We got the impression that this hostel was newly up and running. It was great value and the staff were really friendly. You do need your own transport - hire a motorbike, in order to get around.

I checked in and stayed for 20 mins then went somewhere else this hostel is not a good place to stay if you are travelling alone and there is only one person who can talk english.

The staff here are extremely helpful and make you feel like you are at home! They go out of their way to provide everything for you and have a great knowledge of the sights and activities on offer in Chiang Mai. The food in the restaurant is excellent too at a very low price. I would recommend staying here if you want to get your nights sleep away from the busy centre.

i like to stay in yha srivichai. nice and cool breeze even in the time --where no one recommended to visit chiangmai since the bloody haze. i still can feel the cooler atmosphere in the night and early morning. the only problem to stay there, only if you don't know how to go in and out --since it's not central downtown but takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes. can be walking to go out and ask the tuk tuk [red one] to drop you there to go in.

I loved the hostel but it's location in regards to the rest of chiangmai was difficult. most cab drivers had no idea where to take me when i asked them. they would only take me as far as the road, then i had to walk the rest of the way. also, the internet not being available until 9am is hard for travellers like myself, who are up and going by 8 am. anyway. great place except for the location. thanks
