Chicago Getaway Hostel in Chicago, United States

The staff was really nice. The location is pretty cool, the neighborhood is really charming and after a 10 min walk to the train you get to downtown chicago in like 10 mins. The bathroom floors could have been cleaned more. Breakfast was ok, enough for everyone.

There is a beatiful lobby, PC room, TV room, reading room and eating place in the hostel, everything completely new. Now is time for the rooms, which are so far little older. Just the shared kitchen is very poor equipped. So breakfast were not really satisfying. But generally I highly recommend.

Thanks for staying with us during your trip to Chicago. Just so you know, we'll be renovating our kitchen area this winter. So when you decide to come back again, it is going to fully equipped and better than our old setting.

Room and hallway were a little stifling. Location seemed a bit distanced, and the subway station is not close enough for carrying your luggage while walking to or from the hostel. Other than that, the Arlington house is clean, comfort and very pleasant. I’d recommend it for budget staying in Chicago. Efrat, from Israel ~ 24th Oct 2009

Nice old building, but it's a long way from downtown. Staff not the friendliest -- young night guy kept me waiting a ridiculously long time for check-in, unnecessarily and without apology. Free internet-connected computers, however no time limit on their use, and not enough to go around, so good luck getting one. *Scalding* hot water in bathroom, with cold not working, so shower impossible to use. Bathroom was bad.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. As I'm sure you noticed, our lobby renovation is now complete. We plan to carry the renovation through the rest of the hostel this winter. This includes our bathrooms. Check us out again on your next trip.
