i luved stayin at this hostel. it had a nice relaxing and cosey feel to it. felt like home to me. the breakfest is great too and always hot water. the staff are really friendly too, enjoyed it. will book here the next time i visit in the future.

The hostal is well managed and is in the top 20% in value for money terms. Though prospective customers should be aware that there are no restaurants nearby, which means a taxi at night time. The building by its design and nature is noisy. You will be disturbed by those with early morning departures

A nice, inexpensive place to hang out in Quito. For me, it is the perfect spot - but, I much prefer hanging out in the Old Town to the Mariscal. The only complaint (and it's minor and pretty insignificant!) is that the walls are quite thin...can be a bit noisy if the other guests are noisy...but, it's a great value in a great spot with a great rooftop view of Quito and the surrounding mountains!

The Chicago Hostel is a cheap option conveniently located between the Old Town and New Town. However, we found it to be lacking in character and cleanliness. Also, the layout of the hostel makes it very noisy. Our double room had one window and this looked directly onto the stairwell and communal bathroom! Gotta love waking up to toilet noises at 5.00am! We would recommend shopping around for a nicer option.

Could have been quieter! Large metal door made a lot of noise when people slammed it shut and people noisy when passing our room (13) Maybe a few signs up reminding people to be quiter after say 10pm Breakfasts great & location good though so would recommend!
