This hostel was fantastic. You may be skeptical about staying in a favela, but it is safe and has the most amazing view and culture you'll experience in Rio. The staff are not just staff - they become your friends, and even the locals are excited to show you the city. I give the Chill Hostel five stars. Laura, from USA ~ 3rd Jan 2012
