it seemed there were a few people who have been residents there a while and don´t like mixing. apart from that the magician and Christian made this place a worthwhile stay. dam magician managed to get my watch and gave it back half hour later. watch out!

I had a really good stay at the Chilli hostel and would definitely stay again. The staff were all excellent and the barbecues on Fridays, pisco sours on Mondays and spaghetti on Wednesdays were a great way to meet other guests.

Hostel was freezing all the time. Staff looked shabby and wasn't friendly Rooms and bathrooms were not clean
The hostel has a great atmosphere and its a good place to meet people! There are hot showers most of the time, nice breakfast and comfortable beds. It has a very central location and the staff are friendly and helpful. They organise meals at the hostel which are great for socialising with fellow travellers. The smell of smoke can be annoying at times for non-smokers but overall its a super stay!

Perhaps consider partitioning off the showers so that you are not showering and getting dressed in view of the whole bathroom and landing when the door opens. Room was a bit cold. Water was not very warm. Room was a bit small for 9 people, dangerous when trying to go to the toilet at night. Individual lights would be great.

First of all, the staff were really helpful and friendly - really great. However, we found the hostel itself is a little grubby and smoking seems to be allowed anywhere within the hostel. As non-smokers this was really unpleasant, esp. because the social/TV/dining were in the same room and so we had people lighting up right beside us as we were eating dinner, so the entire hostel smells of smoke and now so do all our clothes!!
