  • Cielo Rojo is the perfect hostel to enjoy the nice ambiance in Oaxaca city. The location is a 10 minute walk from the zocalo and the staff is helpfull. They really try to make sure you enjoy. The hostel itself has an amzing patio where you can hang out and meet other travellers. I travelled for 5 weeks in Mexico but Cielo Rojo was the best hostels i stayed!

  • I stayed for a week and had a pleasant experience. The mattresses are an issue. The colorful ones are new, and they're good, but the others are really unpleasant. I'm not usually picky about this sort of thing! Once I discovered that I needed to snag a colorful mattress, I was all set. You'll probably want earplugs to sleep here, since there are often people hanging out on the patio at night and the sound carries, but the social atmosphere is lovely.

  • I was supposed to stay only 2 days in this hostel and I end up with a week. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere so cool. The ambiance is relax, so you can really rest and meet great people. The hostel it's only few blocks away from the Zocalo and so closed from bars and restaurants. The staff also help me in planning my trip and tell me the good place to be in Oaxaca. The room are nice and clean, I slept in women doorroom and it was perfect.

  • Very nice place to be and agood atmosphere. The only "problem" is, that you don't get an own key for the front door and no key for the dorms (they're open all the time), but there is always somone at the frontdoor to open it and who checks who is enetering the hostel. The staff is very helpful if you have any questions/ concerns! I can definitely recommend the place!
