Showers were a disgrace. They were broken. No kitchen even though advertised.

we have stayed in many hostels over the past 3 months whilst travelling, and none have come close to being as disgusting as this place. 1 toilet and 1 shower is hardly sufficient for 40+ people, let alone a shower with absolutely no hot water. it may be slightly cheaper than other places, but trust me, paying that little bit more is worth it as this place is nothing but a dirty sh*thole

I guess that with this price you have to be pleased anyway. But it could have been cleaner. Only one shower had warm water.

Good location, grumpy staff, and our access cards stopped working repeatedly. All in all not bad. Relatively clean.

i've stayed in a 6 beds female dorm and i'm never EVER gonna do that again. the room was too small for 6 beds, linen all over the place, VERY dirty (there was a dead mouse outside my window and a pigeon skeleton - not kidding). at least the location's quite good, but the actual city centre (High Street aka The Royal Mile) is at least 20 mins far from the hostel. Not recommended.

The matress on both beds was unacceptable. They were so old and of such poor quality that the springs were right on the surface and sticking in your back. After a bad night with little sleep we had to put our duvez on top and sleep on it to try and improve things. I was very upset about this. It seems a shame that this spoit our visit. Alison
