One district away from the noisy city centre. Why stay in concrete jungle when you can be surrounded by trees, lawns and birdlife and still be a 5 minute walk from the best restaurants and cafes the city offers. Very quiet and clean with a fully equipped...

Granted the location is great, Parnell is lovely, but the hostel is definately in need of modernising. For sure the place is clean, but the linen is so old, our room had a constant smell of damp in it and the showers were just disgusting. The living room with stove is a plus point, but i was so glad to leave there.

Lovely hostel, oozing with character. Lots of social areas. Kitchen small, but fine. We had private room (heart cushions - very amusing as staying with friend!). Only down side the luggage storage was in hallway - not secure. Its a lovely peaceful area of Auckland. I have happy memories of swinging on the hammock whilst the sunset.

Realy nice hostel. We had a great stay in a beautiful house! Double room 8 is great, others we have seen have no windows. Location is great! Nice restaurants and just a short walk to downtown. We would highly recommend this place!

We were not satisfied at all, because we came to the hostel and were told, that they just have 1 bed instead of 3, because the owner made a mistake and just realised it on the same day we arrived. He had made a reservation in another hostel for us and this hostel was dirty, smelly and it was an 8bed-dorm instead of a 3bed-room.

A very charming hostel with good hosts and a nice common area. It is located close to the LINK bus which will get you to any of the major sights.

the rooms inside the main house are great, big enough to get some air flow on the hot nights, but the demountables out the back are a bit too stuffy at night. other than that its a great hostel that i would recommend to anyone!
