  • It's my second time staying in a hostel, and the experience was superior. The staffs are super friendly. I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm and there is a bathroom in room, which is super nice. The room had paintings on the wall. Me and my roommates all enjoyed it.

  • This 50yr mom and 19yr daughter were trying hostels for the first time. We tried two different places in SEA on this weekend. This hostel took second place. Short walk to Pike Market and waterfront. There are no curtains or privacy within the shared bedrooms. Plugs-ins hard to locate and no individual lighting or fans. The bunkbeds are lightweight and move when you move. Lockers small and in room of six there were only four available. Had to leave by 7 and breakfast started at 8am...:(

  • You guys rule, for sure. The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't know I needed a passport to check in. I left mine in the car in the parkade, a 20 minute walk away. Blah.

  • The hostel was great, but if you're traveling alone you better look for a smaller one where it's easier to get to know people. Here, everbody pretty much just keeps to themselves which is kind of sad. No hostel activities! Also the kitchens on the floors are not well equiped with enough plates, cups, etc.

  • Years ago stayed in hostels all over Europe. This one as good as the best in Europe. Wished the computers had worked,,,but minor. Wished parents would not let kids run up and down hallways in the late hours.

  • Great hostel! Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms with provided sheets. Breakfast a bit limited, but that's in many hostels. Other facilities good. Nice 'library' room, and a hottub :) Private bathroom in room of 4 also very nice. Location great, in safe area walking distance from downtown Seattle. Oh, and let's not forget their own cinema room. I would definitely recommend this hostel to other travellers!

  • I spent only one night there and it was a great experience. Their staff is superfriendly, I was suprised. My 6 bed room was OK, except couple wooden lockers, which doesn´t look much safely to leave your staff in there. There are also 4 pieces of metal lockers, but there´s not a chance to fit your carry-on luggage inside. I left early in the morning, so can´t say hows the breakfast. Only one problem was Internet, doesn´t work that day!

  • Thanks to a wonderful staff one will always get a very warm welcome here. Everything was great. Hi hostels are predictably good at everything. Security cleanliness comfort, supreme friendliness from the staff I encourage everyone, stick with the HI. Believe me, 20 years of hostelling I speak from experience. Kudos on the magnificent recycling programme at Hawthorne And thank you all for everything

  • The crowd here had a large "hostel" contingent – "yeah man, just here to do some yoga for a weekend, you know, doing my thing" – but also featured a diverse range of people. I saw multiple people with full heads of gray hair, a mix of genders, nationalities, etc. Everyone was super nice. The staff is pretty hip, which I guess is kind of their signature thing that they do. The building itself is pretty great considering the price, but the people really make the experience. Get ready.

  • I was only there for about 8 hours, but it seemed like it was a good spot to stay at.

  • I understand that there is a budget for breakfast, but you could get more creative than sliced bananas, oranges, and toast. Granted that I didn't care for the breakfast, being in the area that had everything at close convenience (including a good breakfast), made it all worth it. VERY clean, helpful staff, combination and SPACIOUS lockers in the room, good vibe. I enjoyed my stay and will recommend this place to others.

  • I have stayed at many decent/good hostels throughout various countries and City Hostel definitely ranks among the best I've been to. The facilities are secure with someone at the front desk at all times. Awesome selection for breakfast to get your day going. Comfortable beds, pillows, and blankets. Clean restrooms and showers (they even have bathtubs and hot tubs!). Terrific staff that were friendly and knowledgeable about cool things to do! Would most definitely visit this hostel again!!!

  • The staff were friendly and very helpful. I had a knee problem so they thoughtfully carried my luggage for me. I always felt safe and secure in the building. The beds are clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious. I enjoyed my stay and will recommend this hostel.

  • Find fun in seattle. The location is nice, walking distance to the main landmard. The staffs are very nice, really helpful. The cleanliness is perfect! But it is kind of noisy outside, especially in the late evening, some crazy guys were yelling loudly.

  • It was a little noisy but we kept the window open the whole time. Very nice bathrooms, the rooms themselves were ok. All in all I was very impressed with an American hostel as this was the first one I've ever stayed at.
