the staff are fantastic....they speak english and are extemely kind, though i wouldnt recommend staying here due to the inhospitable owner whom is one of the nastiest people i have ever come across. she shoudnt be in a buisness dealing with customers and people that need alittle hospitality, as you will not get this staying here! not recommended

This hostel seemed to have nice rooms in a good location. Among many complaints: - for a double room, we fought for over a day with the staff to get a second key. When we switched rooms, their solution was simply to leave an outer door unlocked. - the showers lose pressure constantly -the staff preferred to use the one computer for facebook postings rather than let guests use them -when we complained, the manager could not have cared less

We had double room nice and big with clean en suite. Polina was helpful. Communal room wasn\'t very communal. The location of this hostel is excellent 2 minutes from the hermitage. I would reccommend.

There were sweet and and helpful girls at the staff. The location is the best in St. Petersburg. But my room had no heating, so I dont know how warm the place is in winter.

The location could not be better - just two minutes away from the winter palace. Most of the staff were very kind and helpful eventhough we had a fight with the manager, who - at last - ended up being more kind. It is better to pay in USD since they have a high currency in Rubles.

Top location in town. Always felt secure though. Staff was usually helpful and friendly. Clean room. Very old building without any nice atmosphere. Bathrooms should definitely get cleaned more often!

Hostel was ok, location perfect. Could be a bit cleaner,they have two bathrooms, one was dirty, other one was good. Room could be cleaner, but huge ad good enough. We felt safe,slept ok and would go back. Except for the location, nothing is really excellent but in general ok.

The house owner and the hostel staff should think about the terrible mess (non cleanliness)in the entrance into the building and stairs, which everybody has to pass every day, may be several times, but nobody has cleaned for many years.
