Staff person was excellent. Went well beyond the call of duty to help us feel at home. Some extra items in the room and the bed rolled around a bit. Altogether, a pleasant stay.

Free on-street parking with a pass. We stayed in a house a distance from the listed address, had to call from a payphone to get somebody there to admit us late in the evening. Great Newfoundland hospitality but _very_ relaxed about a lot of things. Unlimited HS internet. Cozy, chummy kitchen and TV lounge. Short walk to lots of places of interest. Nice, free tourist map.

Free wifi internet throughout the hostel Free use of 3 computers with internet City hostel was renovating during our stay (early May). Therefore, we had to stay in one of their other locations on Gower Street. This was somewhat further located from the restaurants and cafes than expected. Furthermore, the staff was not always present.

this was my first experience in a hostel, and it was definitely a good experience. rooms were relatively big so when you were sharing with 4 people, it all worked well. Hosts were good in providing rides from bus stations and airports. I would definitely recommend this place to others going to St. John's. Location was good and close to museums and down-town.

A bit of a dive. Extremely Basic, but the owners are very receptive and accomodating. Location is great, close to the harbour and George St. Went off season, so B&B's had low rates and would be recommended. But if you're a very budget traveler in the summer months, this is a place to rest your head.
stayed at the new location on gower st, only thing missing really were lockers. everything else was great! make sure to ask about the car tour with dennis.
Everything from the staff to the fact that everything you would want to see is a 2 to 10 minute walk made our trip so fantastic! The price could not be beat and from what we heard the stay was nicer then most hotels! Thank you for everything, we loved it and will recommend it 100%

A great place! Close to everything downtown and great, friendly staff (even when we woke them up for our 1 am check-in after a late ferry!). They were in the process of renovating while we were there, so I imagine it will be really nice when they are done.
