  • Cat pee everywhere. The stairs up to the sixth floor, where the hostel is, were nearly unbearable due to the smell. The rooms were ok, but the shower had no curtain and the traffic outside is so loud you cannot sleep and does not die down until 2 or 3 am. The breakfast was a couple pieces of bread and a cup of tea.

  • As a woman travelling on my own it is very important to feel safe and comfortable. Salah, the manager, is very friendly and helpful. He will even give you a cup of tea. The breakfast, included in the price, is fresh and the coffee good. All the staff are similarly friendly, the mattress comfortable and the bathroom clean. Do not be put off by the entrance hall downstairs.

  • The staff at city plaza was extremely helpful to the nth degree. Waled went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable in our stay. Just a quick walk from the Egyptian Museum and from train station. Waled set up a private tour to the Pyramids, Saqarra, and Memphis to see many of the tourist attractions Cairo has to offer. Hostel was very clean and would definitley stay again.

  • The staff at the City Plaza Hostel were efficient, friendly, and helped to make our visit to Cairo an amazing experience! The rooms are Clean, the food is good and the portions are generous, especially if you request the Egyptian breakfast. The location is very good. Near the Egyptian Museum and Metro was really convenient for us
