This place was like a filthy ghetto, my room stunk, the walls & floors had marks, paint, tape and holes. Furniture was broken and stains on sheets. No toilets or bathroom on my level so had to go down fire stairs to find them. Walls are paper thin so you hear everything. Will never go here again, not even if you paid me!

The rooms were okay, but the bathrooms were so repulsive and needed to be cleaned and renovated.
- 2 out of 3 toilets didn't work and the 3rd toilet the door couldn't lock or close. The toilets were constanly block up.
- 1 out of 2 elevators didn't work
- The service level was very slow and it didn't seem like they had the time to help.
The last coment is : it's fair to charge a key deposit but it's very silly that you can't get it back when you check out in the middel of the night. Then you get the troubel when you get home. But it went very well and quick when i got in contact with the hotel.

The location close to the Barbican center is great and the area has a unique charm.
The rooms and facilities though showed signs of aging and are in desparate need of refurbishment.
But I guess that is what you should expect for this price...

Excellent place for someone who needs not expensive accomodation in Central London. Single room is cheaper than hotels (27 pounds a day). Rooms are quite spacious. Free wifi on the ground floor, free gym during off peak hours.

My stay was very good, the location was prime. I think the staff was very helpfull, i just wish the rooms had a bit more comfort. But I guess I cant ask for much for 70 dollars a night in London.
