Apart from the strange smell at reception this place was good. Rooms were tiny and its a hefty walk up the stairs, but it had a homely feel. The people were friendly. We were there when it was booked out, which meant that it was impossible to get a seat for breakfast or in the lounge room to watch tv, so more cushions in front of the tv would be good. There was a pretty cool pub about 50m away which was nice and a massive shopping centre just around the corner.

Really perfect, a very nice hostel directly at the Pubs, but it was very quiet as the window was to a backyard. The staff was wonderfull, they offered me by arriving a free towel and gave me some good information, where to go. Would go there again every time!!

Don't stay here! My two bed room was literally 8 x 5 feet. We had to change clothes on our beds because there wasn't really room for two people to stand up and move at the same time. The bathroom was disgusting, mold all over the walls, floor was always wet. But more surprisingly, our bedroom had mold all over the walls. Black mildew and green fuzzy stuff on the ceiling and window shades. I'm surprised I didn't come away with a respiratory sickness. Ew! Ew! Ew! Very overpriced for what you get.

if I had a negative comment, it would be the size of the rooms, they were indeed very very small, yet, the atmosphere was really great, the staff, and the breakfast too. i would definitely go back there.

The hostel is really nice, the dining room and kitchen especially, moreover you can have tea and coffee for free, lockers for free and staff was extremely kind :) I raccomend this hostel to everyone!

I had an excellent time at claddagh. it was very intimate and small which made it easy to meet people. and therefore super fun. the staff was all friendly and were usually fellow travelers hanging out in galway for a little while and helping out. it's probably my favorite hostel i've stayed at in europe so far.

I think this hostel was perfect. Nice staff, good facilities and clean rooms and bathrooms. The TV room was always full of friendly people watching movies or talking. I't the right place to meet people. They also sale very cheap tickets to the Aran islands and Cliffs of Moher
