What can I say? My stay at Clarence Castle was the best hostel experience of my life. I have stayed in a few hostels, some in the states and one other in Toronto, and this place is the best I have been to by far. Everything was excellent -- super clean, super safe, great location, great staff, great manager! In fact, this is the nicest staff I have yet to come across in a hostel... The Clarence hostel is very clean and confortable. Also, the shower is very good and the climate machines work very well. About fun, the hostel is divided in two buildings and I guess there is more fun in the principal one, where the staff stay. Selena, from Brazil ~ 27th Oct 2009

This is a very nice hostel, that actually feels more like a hotel it is that clean and modern. The location was really good too. There are three computers with free access to the internet so you ll never have to wait long to go on the internet if you dont have your own laptop. Breakfast is included. I would definitely go back. I am not sure I would recommend to someone who intends to socialise there and go out partying with other guests as the place is quite quiet in that respect. Anna, from France ~ 17th Sep 2009

I felt that Clarence Castle was a wonderful place to stay and would heartily recommend it to anyone. A couple of concerns: I would suggest not allowing alcoholic beverages to be consumed on the premises (there's a ton of great restaurants within 10 minutes walking where hostel guests can gather at all hours of the night for a drink), and that the front desk be staffed 24 hours, with someone at the front window at all times. Clarence Castle is a very nice Hostel with a very good Location in the middle of Downtown. The Hostel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The only problem for me was that the Character is more than Hotel and so not the best adress for backpackers if you want to learn new friends/backpackers. Remo, from Germany ~ 8th Sep 2009
