- “ Very nice and clean hostel with new furniture and dorms with private bathrooms, but the common area could be more integrated with other buildings. I stayed there during a cold week and was not so confortable to get out of my building to go to the common area. ”

- “ It's called Clarence Castle, perhaps they should think about changing their name to Clarence Stable, as it would be a more accurate description of the conditions. Before arriving I called ahead of time to tell them I was going to be late a few hours for my estimated time of arrival. Upon arriving, the lone staff member proceeded to give me a lecture on how they operate on a 24 hour clock and how I was extremely lucky not to have lost my reservation due to my tardiness. - “ We didn't know what to expect when we booked three nights at Clarence Castle this was our first experience staying in a hostel. It was great! We met some fantastic people - both patrons and hosts (you're great, Danny :) - and was able to see the city at low cost. The facility was clean, and we didn't feel pressured or rushed at any point. The staff was accommodating, and truly did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. We'd recommend Clarence Castle to anyone. ”

- “ I have stayed in better hostels. The owner was really helpful. The most inconvenient aspect was the laundry facilities: they are limited and do not work. There is a great laundrette at 1172 King St. It's three ks up the road but it is excellent. ”

- “ Vraiment décourageant. Très petit, on n'est incapable de bouger dans la chambre. Salle de bain trop petite aussi, on ne peut même pas être assis droit sur la toilette car le lavabo nous en empêche. Dure de voir du personnel, personne n'était présent lors du check out. On nous donne des draps et on a du fair nos lits nous même, pas très évident de faire un lit super posé quand on ne peut même pas circuler tant la chambre est petite. On n'a même pas resté notre sejour au complet, on a quittà ”
