we stayed at the 10 mixed dorm, at the time of our stay, the key system didnt work, and the staff said it would be fixed the day after but it didnt. and there were not enough lockers in the dorm.

I enjoyed staying here--great way to start my trip to Oz. There were bedbugs, though, but they are trying (restricting sleeping bags and all that helps somewhat, I'm sure). Enjoyable atmosphere, friendly staff. Good place to stay.

Average hostel. Location was the best thing about it. The key card system did not work properly and I had to keep going back down to reception to get it reset.

Great hostel but they need some more blankets as they had run out the night we arrived. Staff are real friendly and helpful. Close to Bus station

The hostel was obviously really busy but the staff were always very helpful and friendly. There was a lively atmosphere, with many people who obviously stay for much longer than intended. There's a great view from the roof and the bar is really cheap and a good place to meet friends. This place is for relaxed people who enjoy meeting other backpackers.
saw a really good band in the bar next door which is an old converted warehouse. central and walking distance to most things. staff had good suggestions on things to do. very friendly vibe. visited stradbroke island really recommendable :-) nikki
