Clown and Bard in Prague, Czech Republic

This is a great hostel. Close to the train, pub in the lobby, good internet access (although the wait can be long). However, some of the guests are extremely obnoxious and loud into the night. Kind of overrun by annoying American students. Erin, from USA ~ 17th Sep 2009

We enjoyed our stay at the Clown and Bard hostel and found it pleasent and enjoyable. However misinformation from a memeber of staff involving directions to a train station nearly led to a missed train journey. Otherwise the rooms are spacious and safe. John, from Ireland ~ 29th Jun 2009

The location is good to know Prague as we usually don't know. Cause it's kind of out of the center so it's possible knowing typical things that people who stays in downtown, in the touristic places, doesn't know. For this I recommend! There were no parties but I believe cause the tourism was week in this season... really not many people. The bathroom in my opinion was the worst part. Also who doesn't like stair stay away from this place, cause the big dorm is 9 floor up and no lift. Gustavo, from Brazil ~ 16th May 2009

this place was a bit rough, no hot water at all, a thin sheet for a curtain (no privacy) and alot of street noise. could've been a 'one off' thing but generally wouldn't recommend it... Gregory, from Australia ~ 4th May 2009

The hostel is a little far from downtown, it takes about 30min walking there, which is not a pleasant trip when coming back late from the bar in the centre of the city. Anyway I love the big big big mixed room, though it's not very clean and lots of stairs to go there. Staffs are really nice. Kitchen is too small. Sainan, from China ~ 29th Apr 2009
