Had a fantastic time at the clown and bard. Best hostel ive ever stayed in. Great people, everyone is so friendly and helpful. Rooms are cool, get a small kitchen to share with another room, FREE INTERNET and easy access to transport- the tram is at the bottom of the street- takes you right into the city and runs at all hours. Definatly recomend staying here. Full of Australians, NZ and Americas -all young! Great bar downstairs to meet them all!

I didn't have much problem with this hostel, but my friend who I stayed with said it wasn't how she was expected.
The room we stayed in was pretty cold. However it has it's charm.
My only concern was the room key, it was very difficult to use! Also there was a little comment on our room said " this room is hunted" in English. That wasn't very nice...

The staff are really friendly and know there stuff, the beer is cheap and breakfast is good. The music is slightly too loud but at least it makes for good atmosphere. We thouroughly enjoyed our time, great hostel...ohh and free internet is always a bonus.

This hostel has incredible atmosphere and a great bar area where travellers can meet and relax. The facilities are a little run down but the free breakfast and internet are definately bonuses. I would happily recommend this hostel to young travellers.

A broken bed, broken tiles and screws sticking out of the floor and various bits of furniture made us feel very unsafe, as did the stories of the reception safe being broken into. the staff was terribly rude, unhelpful, unwelcoming and consistently without a smile, including those working in the bar. my advice would be to stay in one of the rooms yourself for a night and see how you like it. my second piece of advice would be to clean your bed sheets and to fix your internet.
