Coachman Backpackers in Christchurch, New Zealand

A nice small friendly and very clean hostel in a good location. However it was cold in the dorms and I could hardly ever get hot water from any of the sinks in the bathrooms. Showers were hot though, but I couldn't find a laundry there. Louise, from England ~ 26th Jul 2009

Amazed that there were no bedside lamps,necessitating the main light being turned once people were asleep or left to grope around wtih a cell phone light to see in your bag etc! Truly difficult! Netiher were there any power points in the rooms for charging cell phones or in the bathroom to use a hairdryer. I have stayed in hostels and backpackers in many different countries around the world over the last 3 decades and that situation was a first! Pretty poor really. mary, from New Zealand ~ 31st Dec 2008
