Really friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend staying here.
A great place to stay. Staff are awesome. Can be a bit noisy so if you like it quiet then maybe stay elsewhere. Recommended for everyone else!
The atmosphere was really chilled out and we really liked the large common room. Very social place and near some good bars for live music. Have recommended to lots of my friends.

Didn't recieve any blankets the first night we stayed there coming into winter, due to non availability making the first night cold and uncomfortable. Seemed alittle disorganised!

could do with a few more power sockets in each room; eight girls vying for a single double (one with a four bar extension plugged in) is not fun
booked in to stay over the F1 weekend and found the place operated with little fuss close to resturants bars casino and more importantly could walk to the track great common areas. would definately stay again
I enjoyed the hostel very much. I felt free to do as I like when I liked with good price.

Oh dear. When we arrived our room was still being used and very dirty and cluttered. However it turned out that apart from the bags all the clutter had been left from previous guests, including a box of stuff labelled "Claire and Ben August 2007". So clearly the rooms hadn't been properly cleaned since before then....not that the staff appeared to give a toss. Having evicted other people's stuff from our room we later found out that another guest had been given a "free night" to do what we had already done. The free night therefore should have been ours. I would definately return to St Kilda. But not to the Coffee Palace.
