Nice central place on a quiet hutong back road with lots of cosy cafes and a couple restaurants nearby. 3 minutes walk from the lama temple and its subway station. Two vegetarian restaurants within 200 meters. Young, friendly and helpful staff, they speak a proper English. Highly Recommended!!! Christophe, from Switzerland ~ 28th Oct 2009

If i ever go back to Beijing, i am sure that i will go again to this hostel. The best location that can exist, with good restaurants near by (and cheap),the staff is very helpfull and nice. The staff was very nice and easygoing, and the place is generally ok. Sadly there are no towels + an institution that charges you 4 yuan for a small bottle of water when you can get a big one outside for 3, is somehow sending a clear message that it is not only there to profit from you, but to squeeze the money out of you. hope it can be fixed, with such a staff it can really be a decent hostel. This hostel is in a fantastic location and has very friendly staff. It is clean and comfortable. However, there is very little insulation between the walls, so even if neighbors are talking softly all of their conversation can be heard, not to mention the televisions, etc. Also, those who come in after hours ring a very loud bell that woke me up four times in the early morning. The hostel is very good, but we were really upset when the staff told us they had no more rooms for us, even if we had booked one two days before with a 100 rmb deposit!!! After an unpleasant and long negociation, we slept in a small room, with a very small bed and no air conditionning, available only at 10 pm. We had a discount of 20% for that night.
