This is literally a shit hole. Staff very unhelpful, place is boring, the only good thing is the location. NOT RECOMMENDED. Look for something else!

I spent 9 night in the hostel. The place is regular, can be better. Good kitchen facilities and location. The last day I left the room at 11 am, but the fligth was at night, so I spent the day outside, around the humid and hot Rio. When I came back to the hostel, I asked If they had a shower. The didn´t so I had to pay an extra night for that service. I felt disappointed.

Good place- good location 3 blocks back from Copacabana, pretty cool reception/socialising area, staff are pretty laid back however- DONT do a football tour organised by the reception. Costs $R 60 and we found out the ticket price was actually $10. It was supposed to include transport but we ended up having to catch the metro back. Just go to the stadium and by the ticket yourself!

Had a brilliant time at the hostel over Carnaval. Staff are really helpful and friendly, Otto is awesome! He helped us out a lot

The hostel is good-looking, but the staff plays games on their computer all day long, which result in them making a lot of mistakes. And it was really SO anoying. They wanted to throw us out the last day, because they had told us the wrong check-out date, which they of course couldn´t remember. So if you deside to stay here, check everything twice, YOURSELVES :-)

We had the double room with ensuite. The room was tiny, lacked ventiliation (no windows), air conditioner too noisy to use, shortage of linen (we had single bed linen for a double bed). Even though the hostel was nearly empty, they cou;d not get an extra towel when ine of ours got wet due to leaking shower.

We had booked a twin room and when we arrived we were told that we would have to stay in a dorm room instead. You said that you would't put anyone else in there with us but we didn't really believe you so we checked out before we even stayed one night. The hostel looked very clean and it's a beautiful building but there was a dreadful smell of urine upstairs. The hostel seemed pretty quite and dead and the girl at reception wasn't very friendly to us despite the fact that we were the ones being put out! However it is a great location and it seems pretty secure.
