Liked hostel until receptionist got nasty w/me for coming back 3 hrs after checkout. I’d told him I would reserve online 1 more night. He’d said online was better for the hostel too. I couldn’t in the first 3 hrs due to (1) an emergency and (2) bad connection at cybercafe nearby. Ask what’s up before talking to me like a thief! I hadn’t given them any trouble. I was so offended, I didn’t extend after all.

A Penny!!...The proper applicatıon of Credit to my account after cancellatıon of bookıngs would be quite sufficient thanks--This 'hostelworld' mob has a nasty fraudulent side: Be aware....Also, it is not really necessary to book Hostels ın Istanbul: There is an abundance of good inexpensive accommodatıon at all times, whether Hostels in Sultanahmet or cheap Hotels in an around Taksim...

No air-conditioning. The shared bathrooms are pretty nasty. Location is great. They say they charge for internet, but no one is really doing the charging.
our phone did not work the external bathroom door did not stay shut the wake-up call was 15 min late the desk clerks were helpful liked that they spoke English

I\'d really appreciate the air-condition in the room. The fan was just for fun :). Anyway, good position, good price and nice people. If I come back, I\'ll be here again .
Cordial House was very adequate for our needs, and the staff was very accommodating, going beyond protocol to help us, because one of us was not feeling well. I would recommend it very much.

Really excellent area
security is a bit dodgy - effectively anyone can walk into the hostel unchallenged. As the dorm rooms only have 1 key per room, they tend to stay unlocked, and there are no personal lockers. But it was quite safe, and in a really good location, if a bit difficult to find (it's down a sidestreet, first right after the tram stop)
