The furniture in the room, the linens, the bathroom were so old, overused, falling apart ... But the worst thing is it smelled like an old man's room. Will not recommend this guest house to my friends. Yulia, from Russia ~ 23rd Jan 2010

Space is very limited in Hong Kong so its understandable that the rooms are very small but the rooms were tiny... also kind of old and dirty looking. The hostels on the 12th floor of a building and its a little difficult to find because there's no sign for the hostel on the outside of the building. There's a communal computer room so you can make friends there but we didn't find it that conducive to making friends and socializing. Mirador mansions, along wiyh their sister Chung King mansions, are the biggest misuse of the terms 'mansion' in the English language. That being said, once you know what to expect, Cosmic is perfect for what it is - a cheap crash pad. The staff are awesome - they upgraded us because they thought we were too big for the regular beds. They were super nice and helpfull with every enquiry. Nicholas, from Australia ~ 2nd Jul 2009

Located in the infamous Mirador Mansions, which is basically a huge, gritty high-rise tenement house. But once you're inside the Cosmic hostel itself, the environment is clean and secure. It's a crashpad, not a party hostel. Rooms are small, but tidy and quite functional. Excellent shower, but you have to fold yourself around the sink to use the toilet. TV and phone in room. Good free wifi. Biggest annoyance was the long lines for the up elevators during peak times (off-peak, it's fine) Alain, from USA ~ 23rd Apr 2009
