  • Courtyard view was practically perfect. It's in a living, working hutong, so it's a nice escape from the honking and street noise of the larger scale developments in Beijing. It's also near some of the better little shops and restaurants we came across, as well as the bell and drum towers. 4 thumbs up.

  • Most darling hotel in Beijing! The staff is just wonderful, they gave me and my boyfriend a free upgrade as soon as we got there. Charming furnishings and the hutong feel of it is very cozy. Bed was very soft and unlike any other Chinese hotel I've stayed at. We both had excellent nights' sleep all five nights we stayed there. I would recommend anyone hesitating to book this place!

  • The staff in the hotel is very very nice and helpful.Masten and Jack speak English well and they were always ready to help, e.g. to get tickets for the train to Danton, to give useful advice for organizing atrip to the Great Wall or to visit the Mao Memorial! The hotel is very cosy and a really good place to stay in an interesting and lovely Hutong in the old centre of Beijing!Thank you very much for all!! Rita, Jana and Werner from Berlin
