- “ Hostel is out of centre, but its not far from Georgia Ave metro station. We booked 8-bed female dorm which was in fact 2 4-bed rooms in smelly basement without windows(!!). Bathroom located in basement as well, mold on walls. It was very noisy there too, every step from the first floor echoed through the basement. Although the staff and people were nice and kitchen and common room clean and light I d definitelly not recommend this place. There are far better places for the same price in centre ”

- “ We booked the DC Hostel about 2 months prior to our trip. Then 4 days prior to leaving for our trip (2 weeks prior to stay in DC) I received an email that our reservation had been canceled due to remodeling. We had to scramble at the last minute to find a new place to stay. Also the only way I can get my money back is by creating a paypal account which I do not have. VERY diappointing!! VERY unprofessional!!! I do NOT recommend the DC Hostel!!!!! ”

- “ The upper floors are carpeted and the longer-term guests seem to have "spread out," leaving things on the floor and a pile of dirty laundry in the hallway. The bathroom door in my dorm was coming off its hinges. My visit to DC was still enjoyable but next time I would try for a place that's closer to downtown and a bit neater. ”
