“ Friendly staff, clean facilities, super comfy bed. Definitely would stay again. Within walking distance to all DC has to offer. Perfect location. Tricky hot water on the shower, double check before you get in!! Overall it was excellent. ”

“ I stayed at DC Lofty for 7 days. It was really good in my opinion. Staff welcome me in the first day. They had pretty big common area, and also brand-new computer. (Before I left, they changed computers) Also I need laundry, they also has washing and dry machine. Only for 5 dollars. Also every in the morning people clean up every single trash can and bathroom. Except location, everything is great. However, because it's located little far from downtown, it's quite and has big mart(whole food). ”

“ Great place...this was my 3rd time staying and they have made a number of great upgrades. Neighborhood is friendly and walking distance to the Metro, downtown and the Mall. My only recommendation to the staff is to get some recycling bins :) ”

“ In the web site it informs that the guest can check in anytime, only paying a 20 dollars fee. When I got there, all my emails informing the time that I would arrive were ignored. I had to spend the first night in the AIRPORT. How bad is that? ”

“ When we got there they had lost our reservation I even had proof of my reservations and any changes made. They did not have any beds left so we had to find somewhere else to stay. they did give us a recommendation of a nearby hostel which was nice but it was still frusterating. We had to argue a little with them to get our deposit back, but in the end did get it taken care of. they are just extremely un orginazed and somewhat un proffessional ”

“ This hostel is very nice, but it sucks very bad that the reception is not available 24/7. That made me lose my reservation because I got delayed and when I arrived there was no one to check me in. Fortunately, there were some beds available. ”

“ I hope it was up to date on its building codes. Not staying at DC Lofty again. It was super dirty. The front door was always open, but could have easily been kicked in, regardless. The staff was not super helpful. The sheets were nasty. The internet was slow and didn't reach the top floor, where I was staying. But it's in a great neighborhood. So if you don't care about eating out of moldy dishes, go for it. ”

“ The people were nice and open. It was a great experience to meet people from around the world. The facilities were great rooms for watching tv, hanging out, using the computer. They also had a kitchen and sufficient bathrooms. The lockers were a great addition. Overall, a great stay. The workers were pleasant and invited us to a game night in a neighboring hostel. ”

“ The DC Lofty - Convention Center is an okay hostel, but not excellent. The hostel is doing major construction and is somewhat dirty but the rooms/beds are very clean and comfortable. The hostel seems a bit disorganize but the staff were very helpful. The hostel provides free wifi; however, breakfast is not included. One thing that I didn't like was how the hostel charge a tax fee. Other hostels in DC do not charge tax. Overall, I think the DC Lofty - Convention Center is a little bit overpriced. ”

“ pros: faster computer with wifi free, big lcd tv, near metro with bus 64 access, locker provided, younger crowd, staff is informative. cons: i got a mixed dorm with a smaller room so i feel a bit crowded and feel uncomfortable, no shoes policy but some are not following, and the bus 64 is not a frequent routes so u need to wait a few times. i think this hostel is not perfect but its okay i just did not feel it right i don't know why, maybe i am just tired or did not feel the crowd. ”

“ THIS WAS ONE OF THE WORST HOTELS I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. THIS HOSTEL LACKED LEADERSHIP AND CLEARLY HAS NO HEART AND CHARACTER.DOING REPAIRS CONSTANTLY, AIR CONDITIONING NOT WORKING EFFECTIVELY. THEY WERE A LOT OF THINGS THAT I WOULD QUESTION REGARDING ITS SAFETY. THE LEADERSHIP HAS NO HEART AND HAVE DOUBLE STANDARDS. ONE NIGHT THE POLICE WAS CALLED IN AS A DIFFERENCE ARISE WITH A GUEST AND MANAGEMENT THAT ENDED HEARTLESS. ”

“ Building is run down, but a lot of the facilities are new. I don't think any of the bathrooms were cleaned for the entire week I was there. There are of holes in the walls and random gross stains. All the bedrooms had keypads for security, though our door was hard to close and often left ajar. The area was safe enough and a about 6 blocks from the metro. I didn't really socialize, but it was a great place to be able to fall into bed any time of the night. I was lucky enough to get a non-bunkbed. ”

“ The place was under construction, which gave it an uncomfortable feeling. Further the bathroom had no shower curtain or hooks for your clothes, which let to wet clothes after every shower. If you only need a place to sleep it is not too bad, but it has not much of a comfy feeling to it. ”
