the building ahs a lot of character, the beds are comfortable. There is a convience store on the corner. it is in the core of downtown very close to all kinds of department stores and the main depots for buses, trains and cable cars. I would definately stay at this location again.

The staff was very nice and the location was excellent. The building was a little old, so there were some problems with the plumbing (the water in the shower went from hot to cold and vice versa with no warning and the radiator was very noisy), but other than that we were very happy with our choice and would recommend it to anyone.

The Adelaide across the street has the same owner and is much better. stay there. but this place is not terrible though.

The bed and environment were clean and well cared for.
It was a interesting to interact with the eclectic crowd at the adelaid(?) for breakfast and the optional dinner that was available, I did skip the wine and cheese tasting that was planned for the evening before I left.
The computers were high speed, worked well, not dusty.
There was always personnel at the front desk to assist with questions, directions.
A shower shelf/caddy for soaps etc to keep them off the floor, is my only sug

Dakota is a great place to stay when it comes to location and convienence. It's more like a cheap hotel than a hostel (because all the hostel-things like the communal kitchen are on a other, nearby, location) but that didn't mather to me at all.

I booked for Dakota but I actually stayed at Aderlide, and I loved it! They must be similiar since they are under the same business. I had a great time there.
