Nice idea: A shared house in a suburb of Texas! My roommates were nice. Timo, from Germany ~ 16th Jan 2012

when I came in I thought 'what is this?!' because it looked a little empty but I ended up having a good time and met some fun people here. The place is pretty clean and has good facilities. The location is pretty far from downtown Dallas and Fort Worth. Hugo, from Netherlands ~ 11th Jan 2012

I liked the whole "sharing a house" idea with a big common area/kitchen in the center, free use of washer and dryer, 5-10min walk to the train that takes you to both Dallas and Fort Worth (short trips), 15min walk to big grocery store and the host, Ivan, is great! Good WiFi too. Def. not a youth hostel though, for a couple of nights I was the only girl, several of the guys were 50+ (and basically homeless). Didn't enjoy that part. It was a little cold in my dorm at night, too. Jessica, from Sweden ~ 21st Oct 2011

Carlos has a great thing going on here. He is extremely helpful with directions, info on activities in the area, and info on the best places to visit in the area. He does a great job of making you feel comfortable at this home away from home. Brian, from USA ~ 2nd Oct 2011

1. Disappointed the absolutely no recycling is done at the guesthouse. 2. Payment is cash only. 3. Shower curtain liner very slimey/black color at bottom. 4. However, Carlos was extremely helpful in giving directions & interesting things to see/visit. Read Owner Comments Tim, from USA ~ 13th Sep 2011

This is an awesome place, and you can be sure any negative review is intentionally destructive as there are a million glowing recommendations here left by previous travelers as well as every one I stayed with personally. The host is excellent and a genuinely good man the service and vibe can't be beat. This is where you want to stay. Noah, from USA ~ 12th Sep 2011

The owner and his friends (Ivan and Carlos, respectively) were great guys. The hostel had all the facilities you could possibly ask for (laundry, internet, kitchen, etc.), was conveniently located to major lines of public transport and grocery stores, and had an incredibly low price.I had a great time, met nice people, and would definitely recommend it to anyone I know. Nice place to stay if u wanna stay cheap/ backpacker. Half an hour from DFW & Dallas center. The location in Irving is pretty boring, but the staff (Carlos) helps u around & he's santa's little helper! The hostel is small & cosy! U'd feel like u've visited ur friend. The i-net connection is good so as the tv (if u wanna watch). All in all I got a good experience & could visited again if I had too! Thanks for having me there Carlos & drivin' to the station. See then, be good, bye bye! KK......... Kami, from Norway ~ 4th Aug 2011

Carlos is very helpful and kind. If you need a ride to/from the airport, just call him, he'll promptly help you. At the Guesthouse, you'll feel as you're at home. Patricia, from Brazil ~ 4th Jul 2011
