in an old house with fireplace and piano in room which is quite interesting. Great view. Good and interesting boss/staff. Bar downstairs is probably the hottest in the town yet a bit annoying during sleeping. The upper beds do not have rails. Bo, from China ~ 19th Nov 2009

The owner of this hostel is very sweet but this was our worst stay! The rooms were horrible, the bathroom was either up a flight or outside and the stairs are extremely dangerous. We fought mosquitoes all night long because it was too hot to close the windows. I left with mosquito bites all over me. There were water stains on the ceiling and the room was not even dusted We stayed in the same room where they store the linens. All round it was clean and the staff was welcoming. They're not always there so try to match up your arrival with the check-in times. Also, those with slight vertigo = be warned that there are some narrow spirally stairs... not too bad but can still induce vertigo temporarily. Samantha, from Australia ~ 28th Jan 2009
