Dioskouros is very conveniently placed, really close to Plaka and Syntagma, and was really quiet at night despite how near it is to a main road. The staff were absolutely lovely, and the hostel's two cats are adorable. The shared bathroom was very clean, and there was even a little garden.

The guy that runs this place gives advice like a father. He and the rest of the staff are great and the location is excellent as well. Within walking distance of everything you want to see, this place is a great value and highly recommended. (While in Athens, try the spinach pie at the place that handmakes all their ice creams and desserts. It is amazing!)

Great location. Helpful people. Not a party place, but that#s what I like.

Nice hostel right in the heart of Athens, good value, and wonderful, kind staff. Only drawback is that there isnt a/c in all rooms (and can cost extra), but many of the rooms are cooler than I expected.

We only stayed here for one night, but were fairly satisfied by the accommodation. As with all capital cities, you don't get much for your money. The accommodation here is basic although we did have a fan in our room. We were also offered a small breakfast for no extra cost. The bathrooms are inadequate, so if personal hygiene is important to you, either limit your stay here to one night, or book another hostel! The showers are prone to flood, that is if you can manage to get anything more than a trickle out of the shower head. That said, they do seem to be in the process of renovating the hostel. So you may find it in a better state in the future.

\"Go out, turn right, walk two block and turn right at the Temple of Zues\" - those are the directions from the hostel to the shopping area. FANTASTIC LOCATION! But, that\'s all I\'d give this hostel. When I booked, the hostelworld listing promised air conditioning and they accept visa. Neither was true upon arrival. They insisted we pay in cash and they told us our air conditioning was broke. They made no effect to compensate for this and it as over 100 degrees (or 40 celcious). It took all our cash to pay and we didn\'t sleep well in the heat. And after talking to other customers, everyone\'s air conditioners were strangle broken. Bull. They lied to us and I would not recommend them. Oh, also need to add two showers, no doors to the showers and shared by eight other rooms on the floor. Nope, find another hostel. I heard there\'s another with just as good a location.
