In-room bathroom, TV, and fridge is excellent. Located behind new 3 story mall with Carefour and cineplex. I had a 6 bed dorm to myself so I was living in luxury. It would be nice if there was a DVD player though.

I liked this hostel because it was clean and tidy. The staff were so helpful and friendly, just what you need when you\'re away from home. The 5 flights of stairs to the dorm was hard but you get used to it and it\'s good for you right? The location was good only about a 15 min walk to the beach and the main bar road, careful to girls walking back at night on their own though. I didn\'t meet anybody else staying at the hostel, i could have been the only one staying there for all i knew? it was nice, clean and good value though.

This place is in the Patong beach area. It's about a 10 miniute walk. It's close enough to the main party area, but not too close that you get all the noise. This place is extremely clean and staff are helpful and friendly. It's called the Dive Den due to the fact that it is a dive shop downstairs. I wouldn't recommend it if you are staying alone since it is not a typical hostel, it has no common area, just stairs at the back of the store that lead to rooms. Other than that it was a great stay, and I would definately go back.

excellent. and unbelievable for the price. 11/10 for cleanliness, good hot showers. pretty easy to find, located about 5 mins walk away from the centre of patong - on the quieter side - which is good so u can actually sleep at nite. only downside is if u stay in the dorm u have to take 5 flights of stairs go get there. this place is honestly better quality than other places in patong where i paid 1800baht a night. highly recommend!!!!

Great location, price and room. Staff maybe a bit too relaxed about their work though.

The Dive Den by far surpassed our expectations. It is in a good location and the rooms were quite comfortable. The Dive Den is within a 10-15 minute walk of the beach, and a 2-3 minute walk from a very large mall area. The mall has access to Carrefour (similar to a French Walmart), various restaurants, and a bit of shopping. The rooms are also quite comfortable. We had a double bed and it was a comfortable king size bed. The fan and A/C worked wonderfully to cool the down room quickly, and the TV had a couple of good English channels. They were also serviced daily, which was a nice perk. The only possible negative for some might be that the shower is not separated from the bathroom, rather it drains into the floor. (But this is similar to other places in SE Asia, and here the water dries quite quickly). In regards to the staff, one gentleman seemed to be running the scuba diving shop, tour operation desk, and guest house by himself. Though he was quite kind and pleasant, he was not always able to help us as much as we would have liked. This would be no problem for the independent-minded traveler, however. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend the Dive Den to others.

This place is a good option. Its clean, in a good spot, and a good value for the money. However it is most certainly not a youth hostel as it is described on Hostel world. It is a hotel that has shared rooms, plain and simple. All in all, it was a good stay and I would definitely return.

Fantastic! We would definately recommend Dive Den to anyone and everyone. The owner/lady in charge, was fantastic help and the establishment was perfect. However the lady at the 'frontdesk' was a bit...dumb...(a polite way of describing her inabilities) it was still a fantastic hostel. 99.9%. It isnt too far from the center of Patong,I personally enjoyed the walk, and I was very happy to have a seven 11 close by with the major shopping centre less tan 20 seconds away.PERFECT!

Mixed dorm looks a little like a hospital but good fun if you are travelling with friends. Very basic, but clean, and helpful staff.
