Appears to be a former hospital or something. Not "fun" in any way, but I didn't want to hang out in the hostel so that wasn't really a problem. As for security, it appears to be some sort of rooming house besides a hostel. There were some older men who appeared to be intoxicated in the hallways at night, but they caused no problems. Awkward showers because there is nowhere to set your things down.

I'm not sure but I think this may have been an old mental asylum. The rooms were fine, and the staff helpful and location wise it is within easy reach of the main square. I suppose you are getting what you pay for here

The staff & the location are the best part about the Dizzy Daisy in Poznan. We really appreciated that they have staff at the train station to meet travellers & that they arrange a free cab to the hostel. Hostel staff were very helpful throughout our stay. The hostel itself is very basic, housed in a very old building that serves as a university residence most of the year. The rooms themselves are a bit dingy looking and could use a paint job but they are clean and secure.
